Our client is a global manufacturer of plumbing, heating, air-conditioning, and refrigeration (PHAR) fittings, valves, and flow control solutions, with a manufacturing footprint across multiple European sites and a long-standing reputation for engineering excellence and durable customer relationships.
This role has been created to provide global commercial leadership across the group's international business units. You will report directly to the Group CEO and work closely with Business Unit Directors across all regions, aligning sales activity, strengthening strategic customer relationships, identifying new growth opportunities, and establishing commercial best practice across every market. You will not hold direct regional P&L, but you will be accountable for ensuring every region delivers against its budget and growth plan.
In your first 90 to 180 days, you will focus on building strong relationships with Business Unit Directors, senior leadership, and key global customers, and reviewing regional sales performance, forecasts, and pipelines to identify where structured improvement plans would add the most value.
Responsibilities
- Reviewing and challenging regional sales plans and forecasts, and ensuring every Business Unit Director has a clear action plan to hit or beat budget
- Tracking global market trends and competitor activity, and identifying new customers, markets, and product opportunities
- Maintaining a rolling 24-month global opportunity pipeline and recommending growth strategies to the CEO and Board
- Providing strategic direction for global marketing, including campaigns, digital initiatives, exhibitions, and lead generation
- Building and maintaining executive-level relationships with the company's most strategic customers
- Working with the Commercial Director to protect pricing discipline and margins, and supporting major contract negotiations
- Partnering with the Supply Chain Director to improve service levels and delivery performance
- Working with Manufacturing and Engineering on new product development, representing the voice of the customer throughout
- Providing regular updates to the CEO and presenting to the Board on performance, forecasts, risks, and strategy
This role involves extensive travel throughout the year across the group's locations. You will ideally be based in the UK, close to the executive team, though the company is open to a strong candidate based at one of its other locations in Italy, Poland, Germany, or Spain, provided that person already holds the right to work there on a permanent basis.
