We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven individual to join our growing land team as a Land Assistant. The Land Assistant will support our Land Team in research, identification and acquisition of new development opportunities.
This role is available on a permeant, full-time and in-office basis, with occasional requirements for travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the identification and appraisal of potential land opportunities.
- Carry out regular land studies.
- Maintain accurate records of land opportunities and market activity.
- Research land ownership, planning history and site constraints.
- Support the preparation of site appraisals, land offers, approval papers, viability assessments and reports.
- Help coordinate planning, technical and legal due diligence.
- Attend site visits and assist in assessing development potential.
- Support negotiations with landowners and agents.
- Monitor local plans and emerging planning policies.
- Build your knowledge of the regional land market and develop your professional network.
- Provide general administrative support to the Land and Planning team as required.
Person Specification
- A strong interest in property, development and the construction industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A team player with a positive and professional attitude.
- Confident, proactive and commercially minded.
- Keen to learn.
- Numerate and comfortable working with data and financial information.
- Ability to research and gather information quickly and thoughtfully from a range of sources.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Full UK driving license.
- Qualification or degree in Real Estate, Planning, Property or related field.
- Previous experience or internship in property, estate agency, planning or development.
- Basic understanding of the UK planning system.
