We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven individual to join our growing land team as a Land Assistant. The Land Assistant will support our Land Team in research, identification and acquisition of new development opportunities.

This role is available on a permeant, full-time and in-office basis, with occasional requirements for travel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the identification and appraisal of potential land opportunities.
  • Carry out regular land studies.
  • Maintain accurate records of land opportunities and market activity.
  • Research land ownership, planning history and site constraints.
  • Support the preparation of site appraisals, land offers, approval papers, viability assessments and reports.
  • Help coordinate planning, technical and legal due diligence.
  • Attend site visits and assist in assessing development potential.
  • Support negotiations with landowners and agents.
  • Monitor local plans and emerging planning policies.
  • Build your knowledge of the regional land market and develop your professional network.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Land and Planning team as required.

Person Specification

  • A strong interest in property, development and the construction industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A team player with a positive and professional attitude.
  • Confident, proactive and commercially minded.
  • Keen to learn.
  • Numerate and comfortable working with data and financial information.
  • Ability to research and gather information quickly and thoughtfully from a range of sources.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Qualification or degree in Real Estate, Planning, Property or related field.
  • Previous experience or internship in property, estate agency, planning or development.
  • Basic understanding of the UK planning system.
