Join Kellanova, where safety and innovation meet. As an Environmental Health and Safety Advisor at our Wrexham Plant, you'll play a pivotal role in fostering a safe and thriving work environment. Reporting to the Plant EHS Practitioner, you'll collaborate with EHS team members, employees, managers, and leadership across the plant and liaise with external third parties as needed. Your mission will be to support the EHS Practitioner in developing and implementing EHS strategies and programs that align with our business and plant goals, including managing comprehensive EHS compliance systems at the plant level.
A Taste Of What You’ll Be Doing
- Ensure EHS compliance: Deliver core EHS programmes to meet all legislative requirements and Kellanova standards.
- Manage compliance data: Maintain accurate and up-to-date regulatory and compliance databases.
- Lead inspections: Plan, coordinate, and support internal and external inspections and examinations.
- Own corrective actions: Take accountability for issues identified during inspections and drive timely remedial actions with key stakeholders.
- Investigate incidents: Lead EHS incident investigations through to closure, ensuring robust root cause analysis and tracking of corrective actions.
- Champion a strong safety culture: Lead by example, partnering with plant teams to build EHS capability and promote safe behaviours.
- Drive risk management: Lead site-wide risk assessment activities to eliminate or effectively control hazards and deliver ongoing risk reduction improvement plans.
We’re Looking for Someone With
- NEBOSH National General Certificate
- Understanding of domestic EHS legislative requirements and best practices
- Ability to align EHS initiatives with business goals
- Experience in manufacturing plants, understanding unique challenges
- Experience with management systems and document control
