As a Food Technologist on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract, you will develop and enhance food products that align with market trends and consumer preferences. Your duties include creating new recipes, refining existing ones and ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and profitability. You will work at our Culinary Centre in Trafford Park, Haydock facilities and our Media City office, with occasional opportunities to work from home depending on the project. You may also work on cereal brands such as Crunchy Nut, Special K and Krave. Some national and international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Innovation – developing new products and processes and modifying existing ones in the kitchen and pilot plant.
  • Testing – running plant trials of new products and coordinating first production runs.
  • Research – researching consumer markets and the latest technologies to create new product concepts.
  • Procurement – selecting raw materials and ingredients and preparing product costings to ensure profitability.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Food Science or a related discipline with relevant experience.
  • Passion for creative product development in the food sector.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • High levels of proactivity and a results‑driven mindset, focusing on keeping the consumer at the centre of our efforts.
