As a Food Technologist, you will develop and enhance food products that respond to market trends and consumer preferences. You will create new recipes, refine existing products and ensure they meet high standards of quality, consumer appeal and commercial performance. You will also have the opportunity to work on well-known cereal brands, including Crunchy Nut and Special K.
You will work across our Development Centre in Haydock and our Media City office, with some flexibility to work from home depending on project requirements. Some national and international travel may also be required. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will help take projects from initial concept through to launch, ensuring they are delivered effectively and efficiently.
A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing
- Innovation – Developing new products and processes, while enhancing existing ones in the kitchen and pilot plant.
- Testing – Conducting plant trials for new products and coordinating initial production runs.
- Research – Exploring consumer trends and emerging technologies to develop new product concepts.
- Procurement – Selecting raw materials and ingredients and preparing product costings to support commercial viability.
We’re Looking for Someone With
- A degree in Food Science or a related discipline, alongside relevant experience.
- A passion for creative product development within the food sector.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- A proactive, results-driven approach, with the consumer at the heart of decision-making.
