Berkeley Scott are currently recruiting for a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join a school catering team in Swindon. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy kitchen environment and wants regular school-based work.

What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting the catering team with the preparation and serving of meals

• Helping with food preparation and basic kitchen duties

• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene

• Washing up and keeping kitchen areas organised

• Assisting with stock and general kitchen duties as required

• Providing friendly and professional support to the wider school catering team

As a Kitchen Assistant, you'll play an important role in helping the school kitchen run smoothly and efficiently throughout the day.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Kitchen Assistant or within a catering environment is desirable

• Enhanced DBS required

• 2 references required

• Food Safety Level 2 and Food Allergen Certificates required, or willingness to obtain

• Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety

• Reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a team

• A positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in
