Berkeley Scott are looking for reliable, hardworking and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistants to join our team working within a school environment in Oxford.

What You'll Be Doing
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play an important role in helping the school kitchen run smoothly and efficiently. Your duties may include:
- Assisting with food preparation and service
- Supporting the catering team during busy periods
- Preparing ingredients and maintaining clean, organised work areas
- Washing up and cleaning kitchen equipment
- Following food hygiene, health & safety and food allergen procedures
- Supporting with stock rotation and correct food storage
- Helping to maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen
- Providing a friendly and professional service to pupils and staff
- Working effectively as part of a busy catering team
Requirements
To be considered for the role, you will need:
- Previous kitchen, catering or hospitality experience is desirable
- Food Safety Level 2 Certificate - required, or willingness to obtain
- Food Allergen Certificate - required, or willingness to obtain
- Enhanced DBS - required
- 2 references - required
- A reliable, hardworking and positive attitude
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- The ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
- A professional approach to working within a school setting
