What You'll Be Doing

As a Kitchen Assistant, you'll play an important role in keeping the school kitchen running smoothly. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with basic food preparation and kitchen duties

• Supporting the catering team during busy meal services

• Serving food to pupils and staff when required

• Washing up and maintaining clean kitchen areas

• Following food hygiene and health and safety procedures

• Helping to keep the kitchen organised and fully stocked

• Working efficiently as part of a friendly catering team

Requirements

We're looking for a Kitchen Assistant who is reliable, hardworking and comfortable working in a busy school environment.

You will need:

• Enhanced DBS - essential

• 2 references - required

• Food Safety Level 2 Certificate - required, or willingness to obtain

• Food Allergen Certificate - required, or willingness to obtain

• A positive attitude and good team-working skills

• Previous catering or kitchen experience is desirable
