Berkeley Scott are currently recruiting for a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join a school kitchen in Loughborough, with an immediate start available.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous catering experience who enjoys working as part of a team and is looking for regular school-based work.

What You Will Be Doing
As a Kitchen Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the preparation and serving of food
- Supporting the kitchen team with day-to-day catering duties
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Washing up and keeping kitchen areas clean and organised
- Following food safety, allergen and health & safety procedures
- Helping with deliveries, stock rotation and general kitchen duties where required
Requirements
- Previous catering or kitchen experience is desirable
- Food Safety Level 2 certificate required, or willingness to obtain
- Food Allergen certificate required, or willingness to obtain
- Enhanced DBS required
- Two references required
- Reliable, punctual and professional approach
- Ability to work effectively as part of a busy team
- Good understanding of food hygiene and safe working practices
