Berkeley-Scott is recruiting experienced Chef Managers to join our agency team for exciting opportunities across schools and a variety of catering businesses in and around Canterbury starting in September. If you're an organised and motivated hospitality professional with strong leadership skills, this is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy flexible agency work while managing kitchen operations across a range of sites.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing the day-to-day running of busy kitchens
- Leading, motivating and supporting kitchen teams
- Planning and delivering high-quality, nutritious meals
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene, health & safety and allergen standards
- Managing stock, ordering and minimising waste
- Ensuring kitchens operate efficiently and meet client expectations
What we're looking for:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Chef Manager or in a similar kitchen management role
- Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills
- Experience working within schools or contract catering is desirable
- Two satisfactory references
- An Enhanced DBS certificate
- The right to work in the UK
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle would be an advantage, but is not essential
