Key Responsibilities of our Cleaner
- Carry out all general cleaning duties to a high standard
- Vacuum, sweep and mop floors
- Dust and wipe down surfaces, furniture and fixtures
- Clean and sanitise toilets, washrooms and shower facilities
- Clean kitchens, canteens and communal areas
- Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately
- Replenish consumables such as soap, toilet rolls and paper towels
- Clean internal windows, glass, mirrors and doors
- Disinfect high-touch areas including door handles, handrails and light switches
- Clean offices, classrooms, corridors, reception areas and stairwells
- Report any maintenance issues, hazards or damaged equipment
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely in line with COSHH regulations
- Follow all health and safety procedures and site-specific cleaning schedules
- Lock and secure areas where required at the end of each shift
- Work independently or as part of a team to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation at all times
Pay rates differ depending on client, experience and role.
Previous cleaning experience is preferred but not essential.
Knowledge of cleaning methods, products and equipment is advantageous.
Understanding of Health & Safety and COSHH regulations, or willingness to complete relevant training, is essential.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Reliable, hardworking and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Driver preferred but not essential.
Takes pride in delivering high standards of cleanliness and customer service.
