£28,000-£30,000 basic + uncapped commission
Warm desk with established clients and candidates
Berkeley Scott is hiring in Birmingham.
We're looking for someone to join our established Birmingham team, specialising in the recruitment of chefs and back-of-house roles across hospitality, contract catering, education, events and other sectors.
This is a warm desk, with existing clients, active business and an established candidate base - so you won't be coming in and starting from zero.
This could suit an experienced recruiter, but we'd also be interested in speaking to someone from a chef or hospitality background who knows the industry, understands kitchens and is ready to build a career in recruitment.
What you'll be doing:
- Managing and developing an existing warm desk
- Building relationships with new and existing clients across Birmingham and the wider Midlands
- Recruiting chefs from Commis through to Head Chef level, alongside a variety of other BOH roles
- Advertising roles, interviewing candidates and managing compliance
- Filling temporary bookings and developing long-term client accounts
- Business development and growing your desk further
- Working as part of an experienced and established recruitment team
What we're looking for:
You'll need to be confident, organised and comfortable speaking to people at all levels. Recruitment experience is an advantage, but it isn't essential if you have strong hospitality knowledge, commercial awareness and the personality to build relationships.
Chef experience would be particularly valuable - if you understand the difference between a CDP and a Sous Chef, know what a busy service actually looks like and can talk credibly to both chefs and clients, we can teach you the recruitment side.
