Location
Remote working with regular travel to Yorkshire Water sites and offices, typically two days per week. A full valid UK driving licence with no more than 6 points is essential.

Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer to join the Asset Delivery team at Yorkshire Water, helping to provide the best service to our customers. Yorkshire Water serves over 5.4 million residents and millions of visitors, ensuring clean, safe drinking water and effective wastewater treatment while protecting the environment and planning for the future. The Asset Delivery team plays a key role in meeting changing customer and regulator expectations. The Programme Delivery department, including Specialist Projects, manages end‑to‑end design and construction of engineering projects across Clean Water, Waste Water and Networks.
Where you fit in
As our Senior Project Engineer you will:
- Provide technical supervision and line‑management of a team of Project Technicians
- Technically manage and coordinate the design and safe delivery of engineered ICA projects within the Specialist Projects portfolio
- Ensure delivery of all projects complies with CDM regulations, acting as Principal Contractor and supporting the Client ability to produce engineered solutions to reduce business risk
- Thorough understanding of CDM regulations and practical application
- Good grasp of design and project delivery process including hazard identification, risk assessment and site supervision
- Ability to respond to a wide range of technical and non‑technical detailed queries
- Experience of working to ATEX standards
Additional Experience
- Experience working in a regulated utility or major asset management/delivery with a wide‑ranging asset base
- Commercially oriented experience in a regulated environment
- SMSTS training
- Knowledge of equipment in the water industry – high pressure/temperature waste processing facilities, chemical systems, gas processing and high voltage equipment
