Location: This role will initially be based in Bradford but we’re moving our office to Leeds Valley Park in summer 2026, so you’ll be based there in the future – Hybrid Working (1 day in the office a week – Bradford/Leeds).

Work type: Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday.

The IT function is a key part of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators. The SAP team is part of the IT function and plays a key role in optimising and transforming our SAP applications and associated Enterprise Systems. We support business areas such as Finance, HR, Procurement, Capital Delivery and Asset Maintenance/Management. Our team consists of functional and technical consultants, along with support related roles in Project Management, Business Analysis and Service Management.

The SAP Data Principal Consultant will play a key role in the SAP Data & Analytics team driving business change and being a subject‑matter expert for the technology within this space.

Where you fit in: As our SAP Principal Consultant – Data you will:

• Partner with SAP Functional and Technical Consultants to drive and embed robust data governance principles across a complex SAP landscape.
• Lead data‑focused workstreams across multiple projects, taking ownership of the end‑to‑end design, build and execution of data migration activities.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements, provide expert guidance and translate business needs into effective technical solutions.
• Apply deep expertise across SAP S/4HANA and SAP Cloud solutions, including SuccessFactors, Concur and Ariba, with a strong understanding of data models, master data and end‑to‑end transactional processes.
• Champion data quality, integrity and compliance by promoting best practice in Data Governance, Data Protection and information management.

What skills & qualifications you will need:

• Strong understanding of data migration tools and methodologies, such as SAP Migration Cockpit, BODS, LSMW, or third‑party ETL tools.
• Strong grounding in data architecture, data modelling, data cleansing and data integration patterns.
• Proven ability to manage complex cutover activities from a data perspective, ensuring minimal disruption & successful migration activities.
• Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
• Experience with SAP BTP, Datasphere, or cloud‑based data platforms.
