We have an exciting opportunity for a Programme Risk Manager to join the PMO at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers.

The DPC (Direct Procurement for Customers) Programme is a key part of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators.
The Programme Risk Manager (DPC) will be an integral member of our DPC PMO leadership team and will play a critical role in the longer‑term success of the programme through managing the Risk function. This will involve defining and managing the team required to ensure effective implementation.
Where you fit in:
- Provide specialist risk management services to the DPC Programme and the 4 SRO‑Resilience mega projects including:
- Risk identification and review workshops, with maintenance of risk registers in line with YW procedures.
- Preparation of risk reports for DPC Leadership, YW Group Risk and submission to the Regulator.
- Aggregation and escalation of risk to form the Systemic Risk Register using programme risk management techniques.
- Quantitative Risk Analysis (Schedule, Cost and Whole Life Model) at appropriate key points in project delivery.
- Assist SRO Risk Manager in the development and testing of new ways of working and their applicability to DPC Programme.
- Facilitate Lessons Identified process so that lessons can be incorporated into the Programme approach and Project development.
- Develop and lead a Value Management/ Lean Construction process so that the Programme identifies and acts on value and strategic opportunities.
What skills & qualifications you will need:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working on PFI/PPP-type and Mega Infrastructure projects implementing and managing holistic Project, Programme, Portfolio (P3) Risk Management across the full project life cycle; backed up by significant wider project delivery experience.
- Detailed knowledge and experience of risk management best practices and procedures.
- Exhibited track record of influencing project delivery through effective risk management.
- Demonstrable ability to hone complex risk data into key messages to assist the projects and programme in decision‑making and acting on uncertainty that matters.
- Knowledgeable in the development and production of risk management reports with good understanding of Stakeholder information requirements.
- Experienced in developing dynamic schedule and cost models using quantitative risk analysis techniques and interpreting outputs to form useful conclusions and report recommendations.
- Good knowledge and experience of Continuous Improvement, Value Management and/or Lean construction methods.
- Good IT skills with an ability to use multiple systems including risk management tools such as ARM, Safran, @RISK, nPlan.
- Ability to collaborate and build relationships across the wider teams.
