What We Do
Yorkshire Water provides safe, reliable water and wastewater services to over 5.4 million residents and the visitors that come to the region each year. Our Field Operations team delivers essential support to maintain and improve the network, ensuring high standards of service, environmental protection and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Carry out essential operational activities that support safe, efficient and high-quality delivery across the water network.
- Play a key role in improving asset health, contributing to the delivery of the mains renewal programme and wider Field Operations performance objectives.
- Support site access requests, coordinating entry for third parties undertaking non-intrusive works on the network.
- Complete cyclical site inspections, ensuring assets meet required standards in line with inspection protocols.
- Deliver secondary chlorination activities, including sampling, equipment checks, maintenance and safe handling of materials.
- Provide operational support such as filter changes, bottled water deliveries and customer communications, ensuring a positive customer experience during service impacts.
Skills & Qualifications
- Deliver essential Field Operations activities safely, efficiently and in line with Yorkshire Water standards.
- Collaborate with Field Operations and Resource & Planning teams to plan and deliver reactive and cyclical activities.
- Adhere to Safe Working Procedures (SWPs) and escalation pathways when guidance is unclear.
- Use Yorkshire Water systems (e.g. SAP, Advantex, ICE, Odyssey, RTS, Nintex) to record and manage work activity.
- Manage your own workload independently, demonstrating good organisation, initiative and accountability.
- Maintain strong internal and external relationships, working collaboratively with colleagues, partners and customers.
- Provide a high standard of customer service, ensuring a professional and positive experience during all interactions.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and consistently reflect Yorkshire Water’s values and behaviours in your day-to-day work.
Location & Work Details
Location: South of Yorkshire. Work type: Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
