Vantage Research is a Contract Research Organization focused on the exciting and evolving field of Modeling & Simulation for Drug Development. Our scientific work spans multiple therapeutic areas including Oncology, Immunology & Inflammation, Neuro-degenerative and Ophthalmology diseases, Metabolic disorders such as Diabetes and Weight-loss, among others.

To support our expanding portfolio, we are seeking a Senior/Lead Scientist - QSP Modeler to drive the design, development, and application of multi-scale mechanistic PK/PD and Quantitative Systems Pharmacology (QSP) models.

Required qualifications and experience

  • PhD in a quantitative discipline such as Engineering (Mechanical/Chemical/Biomedical/Aerospace/Electronics), Mathematics, Physics, Computational Biology, Pharmacometrics, or related fields.
  • 3+ (Senior Scientist: 3 + years, Lead Scientist: 5+ years) years of relevant experience in mechanistic PK/PD or QSP modeling in a pharma, biotech, or CRO environment.
  • Strong experience in ODE-based model development and simulation using Matlab, Python, R, Julia or similar platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience in virtual population generation, parameter estimation, nonlinear dynamics, and sensitivity analysis.
  • Experience in modeling complex biologics or emerging therapeutic modalities is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to independently lead quantitative projects and engage effectively in client-facing scientific roles.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor team members and contribute to scientific leadership initiatives.

  • Therapeutic area expertise (e.g.: Diabetes, Oncology, Infectious diseases, Immunology and Inflammation) and knowledge about important types of novel modalities (ADCs, TCEs, mRNA/LNP, siRNA etc).
  • Experience in regulatory interactions (e.g. scientific advice, MIDD, IND/NDA/BLA, ICHM15 guidelines)submissions
  • Published peer-reviewed articles

Scientific Leadership & Modeling

  • Lead end-to-end development and implementation of mechanistic PK/PD and QSP models across therapeutic areas such as Oncology, Immunology & Inflammation, Neuro/Ophthalmology, and Metabolic diseases.
  • Drive modeling strategy, key biological assumptions, and quantitative frameworks to address drug development questions.
  • Apply modeling approaches to advanced therapeutic modalities including T-cell engagers (TCE), Antibody-Drug Conjugates (ADC), Bispecifics, mRNA/LNP platforms, and virtual population analyses.
  • Design simulation strategies to inform dose selection, biomarker strategy, trial design, and mechanism understanding.
  • Perform parameter estimation, sensitivity analysis, uncertainty quantification, and model validation.
  • Serve as a primary scientific point of contact for clients and lead scientific discussions and deliver on projects on a weekly basis.
  • Translate complex client questions into structured quantitative research plans.
  • Ensure high-quality, timely delivery aligned with project goals and client expectations.
  • Contribute to proposal development, scientific pitches, and strategic client engagement.

Platform & Capability Development

  • Lead initiatives to develop and enhance internal modeling platforms, reusable model assets, and workflow tools.
  • Drive innovation in modeling novel modalities, methodologies, virtual population approaches, and translational modeling frameworks.
  • Contribute to scientific publications, conference presentations, and capability building.
  • Mentor and guide junior scientists on modeling approaches, scientific thinking, and project execution.
  • Promote best practices in coding, documentation, model validation, and scientific communication.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with biologists, clinicians, pharmacometricians, and data scientists.
