Doggy Styling is a high-end, unique grooming salon and dog boutique, a home-from-home for our four-legged friends. This is a fantastic opportunity for an apprentice dog groomer to join our team and learn on the job. The goal is to progress to a stylist position.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing dogs to specification, ready to be groomed by the stylist. Tasks include bathing, drying, nail clipping and rough trimming.
- Learning and following direction from a grooming trainer.
- Assisting in ensuring excellent salon presentation is maintained and high standards are kept through cleanliness, safety and good housekeeping standards.
Working hours: 9:15am to 6pm with 30 min lunch, Tuesday to Saturday.
Desired Skills & Personal Qualities:
- Experience working and handling dogs in a grooming environment preferred.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, as you will be dealing with doggy parents.
- Enthusiastic, willing to learn and have a real passion for dogs (please show examples in your application).

Desired Qualifications:
- Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment.

- Working toward an End Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of the apprenticeship.
