An exciting apprenticeship opportunity to join a fun and friendly team at our boarding kennels and Breeding facility.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about dogs and giving them the best care.
Duties will include but not limited to;
- Welcoming dogs to the retreat
- Cleaning up after the dogs
- Giving the dogs all the exercise and enrichment they need during their stay
- Feeding and watering
- Monitoring behaviour and any health conditions and reporting to supervisor
- Assiting the team with whelping and raising healthy pups.

- Good communication and listening skills
- Previous personal experience with handling dogs. Details must be show on application

- Desired Qualifications
- GCSE maths and English Grade C/4 or equivalent is desirable, but not essential.
- Applications MUST NOT already hold a level 2 or 3 in Animal Care, this will affect your eligibility and make your application unsuccessful.
- Future Prospects
- Further training and senior positions may be available on completion of your apprenticeship
- Training Provided
- Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment.
- The applicant will be working towards and gain a Level 2 animal care Apprenticeship
- The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and on site visits throughout the apprenticeship.
- The apprentice will work towards an End Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of their apprenticeship.
