Swallows Oast Stables offer a full livery service with a yard that has been designed so that every horse can always see a friend, be it in the paddock or in their stable. With a happy and relaxed atmosphere where horses can enjoy the luxury of acres of space, individual turnout, off-road forestry commission hacking and individual care. Swallows Oast is a safe and supportive environment for horses, clients and staff.

Responsibilities- Mucking out
- Turning out/bring in horses
- Daily care for horses
- Daily yard maintenance
- Feeding/watering/hay
- Grooming/trimming
- Exercising – riding/lunging depending on experience
- Basic business interactions with liveries
- Hard working
- Applicants should have some previous experience of dealing with horses and must show this on their application
- Team Player
- English and maths GCSEs, or equivalents, are desired.
- Applicants must not already hold a level 2 or higher in Horse Care to be eligible for a level 2 apprenticeship.
Opportunity to be offered a full time job after completion and possible Level 3.
TrainingFull training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment. The applicant will be working towards and gain a Level 2 Equine Groom Apprenticeship. The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and onsite visits throughout the apprenticeship. The apprentice will work towards an End Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of their apprenticeship.
