Keighley College are seeking an A Level Programme Manager to join our Study Programmes department. You will provide dynamic leadership for the A Level provision, ensuring students receive an exceptional educational experience that enables them to achieve ambitious outcomes and progress to higher education, apprenticeships, or employment. You will be responsible for the strategic planning, day-to-day management, and continuous improvement of A Level programmes, leading curriculum teams to deliver high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment.

Working closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and senior leaders, you will use performance data to monitor progress, raise standards, and improve attendance, retention, and achievement. The role requires strong people leadership, with responsibility for coaching and developing staff, managing performance, and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence. You will also ensure that all programmes meet awarding body, regulatory, and safeguarding requirements, maintaining high standards of compliance and inspection readiness. What You Will Do

  • Lead the planning, implementation, and review of A Level programmes.
  • Ensure curriculum intent, implementation, and impact are clear and effective.
  • Develop innovative and ambitious curriculum pathways.
  • Monitor schemes of work, assessment plans, and curriculum sequencing.
  • Ensure programmes meet awarding body and regulatory requirements.
  • Line manage curriculum leads, teachers, and support staff.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure curriculum offer meets local needs and is destination led.

You have experience of leading academic programmes, managing teams, and driving improvements in teaching, learning, and student performance. You are highly organised, resilient, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Using data confidently, you can identify trends, challenge underperformance, and implement effective strategies that improve attendance, retention, achievement, and progression. You are an inspiring people manager who can motivate, coach, and develop staff to achieve high standards, while creating a positive and collaborative team culture.

You build strong relationships with colleagues, students, parents, and external stakeholders, communicating with confidence and professionalism. You have a sound understanding of post-16 education, curriculum quality, safeguarding, and compliance requirements, with a clear focus on continuous improvement and learner success. You are a passionate and ambitious education leader with a strong commitment to delivering outstanding outcomes for young people.
