The predicted salary is between 16147 - 16612 £ per year.

This role is part-time, reduced year - 30 hours a week, 36 weeks per year. The pro rata'd salary is 16,147 with progression to 16,612 per annum. Keighley College is recruiting for a Job Coach for Supported Internships to join our team. The Job Coach will be responsible for supporting learners with SEND in Keighley College within the Supported Internship Programme. You will develop the confidence and work-related skills of students wishing to make their next move out of college and into paid employment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality service delivery, building strong relationships with employers and external agencies, and, ultimately, empowering students to achieve their career goals.

What You Will Do

  • Facilitate employability training prior to the beginning of the Internship.
  • Provide on-going support in the workplace as required.
  • Liaise with internal and external agencies/services/employers to provide useful support and opportunities for the student.
  • Support students in and out of class to attend interviews for permanent jobs.
  • Represent Supported Internships at events.
  • Work closely with the central SEND team and contribute to EHCP reviews meetings and ensure progress reviews and checkpoints are completed.

About You

  • English and Mathematics at Level 2 or above and a willingness to improve in one or both disciplines to level 3 or above.
  • Experience of working with learners with SEND.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of Equality legislation and the rights of disabled individuals within the workplace.
  • Relevant up to date subject knowledge.
  • Relevant experience, knowledge and understanding of working in the Sector.
