About The Role
As a Senior Finance Administrator, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes. You will:
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the contributions collection process, including monitoring the use of clearance accounts to ensure timely investigation and resolution of items.
- Accurately set up ad-hoc payments and account transfers on the banking system for approval.
- Take ownership for reporting and resolving of queries related to scheme receipts for both internal and external customers.
- Control the payment of benefits to ensure all payments are allocated correctly at both scheme and member levels.
- Produce cash management data to identify cash shortfalls for schemes and create disinvestment requests where required.
- Be responsible for the month-end activity including preparing accruals and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support the Finance Team in their activities and various projects.
Skills & Experience
- Experience in high-volume processing of financial transactions & general ledger accounting with daily deadlines.
- Previous experience in accounting, including bank reconciliations and transactional accounting such as purchase and sales ledgers.
- Previous banking experience such as setting up payments (both UK & foreign payments) and transfers in and out.
- Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies through attention to detail.
- AAT qualified or Part Qualified ACCA or CIMA would be ideal; continued study support will be provided.
- Intermediate level experience in working with Excel, must be comfortable manipulating big data.
