We are looking for an experienced Electronics Engineer or Senior Electronics Engineer with a passion for audio to join our R&D team on a permanent basis.

Job Location: Maidstone, Kent, UK

Eligibility:

  • Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK

Education:

  • Bachelors or Masters graduate degree in an appropriate technical discipline such as Electronics, Electro-Acoustics or Physics or equivalent experience.

Key responsibilities:

  • Development of loudspeaker and related electronic systems for product and internal use.
  • Research on related topics.

Requirements:

  • Understanding of electronics theory and practice from precision analogue to high-speed digital.
  • Professional knowledge of and personal interest in audio systems.
  • Experienced in lab work – measurement, testing, problem solving and optimisation.
  • Professional level PCB Design, preferably in KiCad.
  • Passionate about sound quality and skilled in critical listening.
  • Methodical and scientific approach to any technical problem.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
  • Ability to innovate and bring new ideas.
  • Flexible working style with the ability to adapt.
  • Some experience with Matlab, Python, C, C++ or other suitable technical programming language.
  • The ability to support the development of others and contribute to the wider team.

Extra points if you have:

  • Experience of firmware development for hardware systems, e.g. for STM32.
  • Experience of DSP systems and programming.
  • Knowledge of Control Theory.
  • Knowledge of or interest in acoustics.
  • Experience with 2D or 3D CAD.
  • Lifelong passion for hobby electronics.
  • Self-motivated & committed to continuous professional development.
