Keevil Church of England Academy is looking for a motivated and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join its vibrant team on a part-time basis and provide support to its lower KS2 (year 3 and 4) pupils, with effect from September 2026.
Working Hours: Part time (13.25 hours per week, Mondays and Tuesdays, 38 weeks per year, no Teacher Training days).
We are a welcoming and caring primary school, educating children between the ages of 5 and 11 years. Situated in the picturesque village of Keevil, Wiltshire, we are proud to have strong links with our local community and St Leonard’s Church. Our staff are committed to ensuring that all children in our care grow and flourish, achieving both their academic and personal potential so they leave school as the best readers, mathematicians and writers they can be, combined with an understanding of health and fitness in body and mind. Rated ‘Good’ at our most recent Ofsted inspection, we are part of the Acorn Education Trust, which provides exciting opportunities to collaborate and improve local education.
As a Teaching Assistant, you must be able to work across all age ranges within our school and be prepared to work flexibly to support children of all abilities, including those requiring SEN support, liaising with teachers and SENCO. The successful candidate will also be expected to support with school lunchtime provision, supervising and assisting children in the dining area and/or supervising them during inside/outside play.
We are looking for someone who:

- Is self-motivated, dedicated and consistent;

- Has experience of supporting children’s learning;
- Is First-aid trained / is willing to complete this;
- Enjoys working with children;
- Is happy to assist with school lunchtime provision duties.
