We have a fantastic opportunity for a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to join us, based from our Head Office in Doncaster with agile/hybrid working. The successful candidate will work closely with the BI Manager to deliver and maintain end-to-end business intelligence solutions for Keepmoat.

Accountabilities:

  • Design, build and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards aligned to business needs and best-practice UX/data visualisation.
  • Develop and maintain data warehouse/lakehouse assets and ETL/ELT pipelines, ensuring robust, scalable and well-documented data ingestion.
  • Partner with stakeholders to shape requirements, define KPIs and acceptance criteria, and translate business needs into technical specifications and deliverable BI products.
  • Maintain and optimise BI solutions (model performance, refresh reliability, capacity, accessibility), monitoring usage and continuously improving user experience and adoption.
  • Present results to stakeholders using clear data storytelling, articulating trends, insights, assumptions and limitations to drive action.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation (data definitions, lineage, model design, refresh/runbooks) to support supportability and knowledge sharing.
  • Champion data quality, governance and security (including access controls and row-level security), promoting trusted data and consistent KPI definitions.
  • Recognise and adopt best practices in semantic modelling, testing and release management (e.g., Azure DevOps), and actively develop knowledge of responsible AI features (e.g., Copilot-assisted development, natural-language Q&A and AI-enabled insights) in line with organisational policies.

Skills, knowledge & experience

We are looking for someone who fits with our core values here at Keepmoat and is extremely passionate with finding and executing solutions to support a wide variety of stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have 2-3+ years of proven professional experience in Business Intelligence/Analytics (Power BI). Strong Power BI experience, including semantic modelling, DAX, Power Query (M), and paginated reporting (SSRS/Power BI). In addition to having experience with the Microsoft BI stack, they will also have worked with relational databases and SQL experience alongside experience working with ETL and/or data integration tools. Experience working in an agile environment (preferably with Azure DevOps) is also essential. Experience within the housebuilding industry, as well as the COINS ERP system and python, would be desirable.

Education & qualifications

Essential: Degree qualified or equivalent professional experience

Desirable: Data engineering, data science or AI-related qualifications and/or relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Power BI/Fabric); Microsoft PL-300 certification or higher
