Do you want to be part of a dynamic and passionate team and help guide a grassroots organisation through the next stage in their growth? Keep it Moving CIC is a Croydon based organisation committed to ending youth homelessness through specialist casework support and campaigning.
Keep it Moving has grown a huge amount in a short space of time. We were founded in 2024 by 3 youth workers with extensive experience leading serious youth violence services in South London, who recognised that housing issues were ever-present in our case work. Whether that be young people sleeping rough, or families in abject temporary accommodation, it was clear that the housing crisis was an area that impacted all the young people we supported. We aimed to address this by combining highly skilled youth work with specialist housing knowledge.
We are 2 years into the project and we have 2 projects that are fully funded for the next 2 years, as well as generating income through training and consultancy. As our income has significantly increased from £8,000 in our first year to a projected £150,000 next year. We recognise the need to add someone with financial or legal expertise to our board to ensure we continue to grow sustainably. The need for our service is clear, but we need to professionalise our organisation while retaining our core values.
In return, our director will benefit from being an essential part of a rapidly growing, innovative organisation committed to not just supporting young people but also shaping radical system change to address the housing crisis.
