Role Description The Social Media and Events Manager is a full-time hybrid role based in the City of Bristol, with a mix of on-site work and some work from home. This role is responsible for planning, creating, and publishing content across social media channels, managing posting schedules, and monitoring audience engagement. The manager will coordinate, plan, and deliver club events such as matches, community activations, and promotional activities, including logistics, supplier liaison, and on-the-day support. Day-to-day tasks include developing and implementing social media campaigns, tracking performance metrics, maintaining brand consistency, and collaborating with coaching staff, players, and partners to capture and share relevant stories. The role also involves maintaining event calendars, managing budgets for events and campaigns, and ensuring communications reflect the club’s inclusive values.
Qualifications
- Strong social media management skills, including content planning, platform management, and engagement tracking.
- Experience in event planning, coordination, and on-site execution, ideally within sports, community, or entertainment settings.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.
- Basic design and multimedia skills (e.g., image editing, short-form video creation) using common tools or apps.
- Ability to analyze social media and event performance data, generate reports, and make data-informed recommendations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a hybrid environment.
- Comfort working occasional evenings and weekends aligned with match days and special events.
- Previous experience in sports, community engagement, or brand marketing is beneficial.
- Relevant education or training in marketing, communications, sports management, or a related field is an advantage.
