We’re looking for Freelance RYA Instructors in sailing, powerboating, and wingfoiling to join our team across London and Surrey. This flexible role offers regular opportunities to deliver courses, youth sessions, and group activities, with work to suit your availability.
Skills:
- Strong instructional skills in your discipline(s)
- Friendly, professional, and customer-focused
- Able to adapt sessions to different ages and abilities
- Reliable, flexible, and proactive
Responsibilities:
- Deliver RYA courses in sailing, powerboating, or wingfoiling (depending on qualifications)
- Support group sessions, schools, and corporate events as required
- Represent Keep Sailing positively with customers and partners
Experience:
- Previous experience teaching in RYA centres or equivalent environments
- Comfortable delivering sessions for adults, youth, and groups
- Experience working as part of a team of instructors
- New instructors will be supported to develop
Qualifications
Essential (at least one of the following):
- RYA Dinghy Instructor or Senior Instructor
- RYA Powerboat Instructor
- RYA WingSurfing / WingFoiling Instructor
- RYA Racing Instructor
- SUP Instructor

Keep Sailing is a fast-growing, not-for-profit watersports organisation with centres in Hampton, North London, Surbiton, and Wraysbury. We deliver a wide range of RYA courses in dinghy sailing, powerboating, wing sports, and paddleboarding, alongside youth programmes, group activities with schools, corporate events, and instructor training.
