Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Manager role based in Leeds.

The Business Development Manager will identify and pursue new business opportunities across security and facility management services, including guarding, events, mobile patrol, alarm response, keyholding, cleaning, and fire marshal services.

Day-to-day tasks include prospecting and qualifying leads, conducting client meetings, preparing proposals and tenders, and negotiating contracts.

The role involves maintaining and growing relationships with existing clients, monitoring market trends, and collaborating with operations teams to ensure service offerings align with client requirements.

The Business Development Manager will also contribute to sales planning, revenue forecasting, and reporting on performance and pipeline activity.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in business development, sales, and account management within services-based or security/facilities sectors.
  • Proficiency in client relationship management, negotiation, and presentation, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally at all levels.
  • Competence in market research, lead generation, and pipeline management, including use of CRM or similar sales tools.
  • Organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities, meet deadlines, and work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience or understanding of security and facility management services (e. g., guarding, events, mobile patrol, alarm response, cleaning, fire safety) is highly beneficial.
  • Comfort with basic business analytics, pricing, and proposal development, including drafting commercial and service documentation.
  • Relevant education or professional qualifications in business, management, or a related field are advantageous; prior experience in a similar role is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work on-site in Leeds and travel to client locations as required, with a valid driver’s license being an asset.
