I have a new Band 4 Support Worker vacancy for Looked After Children's Services at the Bradbury Centre, Lisburn Road, Belfast. Other sites and waiting list available. Mon – Fri 0900 – 1700 with some evening work required Salary £12.86ph 0.56p per mile Immediate Start available Live NISCC registration required JOB ROLE To assist Social Workers in assessing the needs to children, young people and families in accordance with Legislation, Policy and Procedure. To assist Social Workers in the implementation of Child Care Plans. To undertake direct work with children and young people. To facilitate supervised Family Time / contact arrangements. This will include driving duties. To support parents, children and young people in developing confidence and self-esteem. To contribute to parenting programmes (individual and group work). To maintain individual caseloads and provide reports and information as required including giving evidence in Court. CRITERIA Minimum of Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in a care related subject or an educational related subject AND 1 years experience of working with families/children in a formal setting, where the work was regular OR Level 2 qualification in a Care related or an educational related subject AND 2 years experience of working with families/children in a formal setting, where the work was regular OR 4 years experience of working with families /children in a formal setting, where the work was regular AND Driving licence and access to a car Full job description available on request.
