As part of the ongoing development of our client\’s Adult Day Services, we are currently recruiting Support Workers to work as part of a team to meet the physical, psychological, and social needs of young adults with complex needs.

Support Workers in Day Services will assist in providing support and care to young adults with complex needs, helping them pursue a valued lifestyle through meaningful activities, supporting well-being, developing skills, and promoting independence, choices, and rights within a safe environment.

The role may involve personal care and, at times, require redirection or physical intervention as a last resort with individuals presenting challenging behaviors.

The client is located in a beautiful 100-acre woodland setting outside Holywood, Co. Down, on the shores of Belfast Lough, surrounded by fields, a farm, a market garden, and scenic views, offering a therapeutic environment.

  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 am to 3:30 pm
  • Salary: £12.60 per hour
  • Closing date: 12 noon on Monday, 25 August 2025

Criteria:

  • QCF Level 2 or equivalent in Health and Social Care or related discipline (Applicants without QCF Level 2 but with at least 1 year\’s relevant care experience may have this criterion waived)
  • GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or above, or Essential Skills in Numeracy and Literacy at Level 2
  • Registered or willing to register with the N. Ireland Social Care Council
  • Willing to undergo an Enhanced Access NI check

Experience required:

  • At least six months in a caring or educational support role
  • Or one year of relevant care experience as described above
