Job Description:
Biomedical Scientist – Band 6
Keenan Recruitment has been retained by HSCNI to recruit for a full-time, Band 6 Biomedical Scientist in Enniskillen.
Hours of work to include weekdays, evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays with a lone worker requirement for on call provision.
Salary: £19.10 – £30.55 per hour, depending on shift time.
Required:
- HCPC registered biomedical scientist
- Expectation to be ready as a lone worker within 4-6 weeks including competency assessment
- Ability to work as a lone worker in Clinical Biochemistry as part of an emergency on call rota dealing with urgent samples
- Ability to operate, maintain and troubleshoot Roche Cobas analysers to include ISE, chemistry and immunoassay modules
- Ability to operate, maintain and troubleshoot Roche Cobas pre-analytics instruments – P612/P312
- Ability to operate, maintain and troubleshoot Advanced Instruments Osmometers
- Ability to operate, maintain and troubleshoot Millipore units
- Ability to use Infinity middleware
- Ability to use LIMS – WinPath
- Ability to review, authorise and telephone results
