Keenan Recruitment has been retained to appoint an Architect for a thriving, design-led practice based in Belfast. This growing studio is delivering high-quality work across public and private sectors throughout the island of Ireland, and the pipeline is robust. This is a new role, created to support continued growth.
The Role
- As an Architect, you’ll take ownership of projects from concept through technical delivery, working closely with senior colleagues while building your own project leadership credentials.
- You’ll be client-facing, technically hands-on, and part of a collaborative team that values clarity, accountability and good humour.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Running projects across all RIBA stages with confidence
- Producing and coordinating detailed technical drawings and information
- Liaising directly with clients, consultants and contractors
- Contributing to design development and problem-solving on live schemes
- Playing an active role in a practice that's scaling with intent
What You’ll Bring
- Essential: Minimum 1 year post-qualification experience in architectural practice
- Strong technical capability with AutoCAD
- Experience working across project stages and contributing to delivery
- Clear communication skills and confidence in client-facing situations
- ARB-registered Architect (RIBA / RIAI affiliation welcome)
- Desirable (but not essential): Passivhaus exposure or accreditation
- Conservation experience
- Familiarity with NEC contracts
Working Pattern
- Office-based role in Belfast
- Monday-Thursday: 9:00am - 5:30pm
- Friday: 9:00am - 4:00pm (early finish because life exists outside site visits)
