Accountant
Keenan Recruitment has been retained by a leading Accountancy firm in Bangor, to recruit for a Qualified Accountant.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Accounts Management : Prepare and review year-end accounts, management accounts, and financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
- Taxation : Handle VAT returns, self-assessment tax returns, corporation tax computations, and ensure all submissions comply with HMRC deadlines and regulations.
- Bookkeeping : Support Clients with bookkeeping services, including bank reconciliations, ledger maintenance, and cash flow management.
- Advisory Services : Provide strategic business advice to clients, helping them with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Client Liaison : Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor for all their financial needs.
- Process Improvement : Identify and implement efficiency improvements, both internally and for clients.
Criteria
- Qualifications : ACA / ACCA-qualified, with a strong practice background.
- Experience : Demonstrable experience working in an accountancy practice, managing multiple clients and delivering comprehensive services.
- Technical Skills : Proficient in accountancy software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Compliance Knowledge : Up-to-date knowledge of UK accounting standards, tax legislation, and compliance requirements.
- Client-Focused : Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong, lasting relationships with clients.
- Organised : Comfortable managing competing priorities and delivering to tight deadlines with accuracy.
- Adaptable : Willing to embrace technology and innovative solutions to improve service delivery.
