Role Overview
An excellent opportunity to join a friendly and professional finance team on a temporary basis. As Accounts Payable Assistant, you'll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, and supporting the wider finance function. The role offers flexibility and can be adapted to suit full-time or part-time working hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices promptly and accurately, matching to purchase orders and delivery notes
- Resolve invoice queries and liaise with suppliers and internal teams as needed
- Prepare supplier statement reconciliations and support timely payment runs
- Assist with credit card and expense claim processing
- Input financial data accurately into the accounting system
- Support month-end close activities and general finance admin tasks
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in an accounts payable or purchase ledger role
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident in using Excel and handling data entry
- Able to manage your workload effectively and meet deadlines
- Comfortable working as part of a team
Qualifications
- AAT Level 2 (or equivalent experience) preferred but not essential
- Experience in a similar finance support role
