We are currently recruiting for a Senior Credit Controller on behalf of our client. This is a varied role in the finance department, with broad involvement across the business. While not a line management position, this role works closely with Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, and wider business teams, particularly Sales.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Management Accountant and take ownership of credit control activities, while also providing ad-hoc support in other finance functions such as payroll.
This is a hands-on role, suited to someone with strong initiative, sound judgment, and a confident, collaborative approach.
Key Responsibilities:
β Manage credit control processes, ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances
β Liaise with the sales team to resolve queries and ensure smooth credit management
β Maintain accurate records of credit transactions and customer accounts
β Support Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger activities as needed
β Provide assistance with payroll and other finance-related tasks as required
β Regular communication with internal stakeholders to ensure a joined-up approach to finance
Person Specification:
β Strong credit control experience in a fast-paced environment is essential
β Able to make decisions independently and use sound judgment
β Comfortable juggling various tasks and priorities
β Works well across departments and with colleagues at all levels
