Our client, a well-established Norwich-based business, is seeking a Credit Manager to lead their credit control function and manage a small team. This is a hands-on, senior role, combining team leadership with responsibility for the sales ledger, cash collection, and credit risk management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a small credit control team, ensuring deadlines and targets are met.
  • Oversee credit control processes, managing high-risk accounts and escalated queries.
  • Maintain accurate sales ledger transactions, including invoices, credit notes, and receipts.
  • Monitor customer credit limits and proactively manage company credit risk.
  • Produce management reports and liaise with internal stakeholders regarding account status.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health & safety requirements.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a senior or supervisory credit control role.
  • Strong knowledge of credit control processes and sales ledger management.
  • Experience with accounting/ERP systems (Sage, Kerridge, Excel).
  • Confident people manager with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Full UK driving licence.
