About the Role
We are working on behalf of a well-established professional services organisation to recruit a Credit Controller to join their finance team based in Norwich. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Credit Controller to join a structured finance function, supporting stakeholders across the business and taking ownership of the credit control process.
Key Responsibilities
- Use a specialist collections system to chase outstanding debt via email, letter, and telephone.
- Communicate professionally with clients to secure timely payment of outstanding invoices.
- Review monthly statement runs, checking contact details and identifying reasons for non-issue where applicable.
- Maintain accurate and detailed notes within the collections system.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to support the recovery of outstanding balances.
- Respond promptly and professionally to queries from clients and internal colleagues.
- Monitor and manage instalment plans, ensuring payments are received on time and following up on defaults.
- Manage workload effectively to meet deadlines and targets.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly aged debt reports for senior management.
- Set and review credit limits in line with company policy.
- Prepare pre-action correspondence for unpaid invoices where required.
- Assist with the preparation of court claim documentation where necessary.
