An established and growing international group is seeking an experienced Group Tax Manager to join its central finance function. This is a broad, hands-on role offering exposure to both tax compliance and advisory work across a multi-entity, cross-border environment. This position would suit a tax professional with a mixed tax background who enjoys variety, commercial interaction, and the opportunity to shape and improve tax processes as the business continues to grow.
The Role
- Working closely with senior finance leaders, local finance teams and external advisers, you will be responsible for providing proactive tax support across the group, ensuring compliance while also contributing to strategic projects.
- Key responsibilities will include:
- Forecasting and managing the group’s reported and cash tax position
- Preparing year-end tax disclosures under IFRS
- Managing global tax reporting requirements, including Pillar 2 and Country-by-Country Reporting
- Overseeing UK corporation tax computations, returns and payments
- Ensuring transfer pricing policies and documentation are robust and up to date
- Providing tax advice to finance and commercial teams
- Supporting mergers, acquisitions and restructuring projects from a tax perspective
- Ensuring compliance across direct and indirect taxes, including VAT and customs
- Working with newly acquired businesses to integrate tax processes
- Managing relationships with external tax advisers
- Identifying tax risks and driving process improvements and efficiencies
About You
You will be a confident and commercially minded tax professional who is comfortable operating across a broad range of tax areas and engaging with stakeholders at all levels. You are likely to have:
- Strong UK tax technical expertise across direct and indirect taxes
- Experience in a group or multi-entity environment
- Exposure to international taxes, transfer pricing and cross-border transactions
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with excellent attention to detail
- The ability to communicate complex tax matters clearly and pragmatically
Qualifications
Chartered Accountant or equivalent professional qualification. Additional tax qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
