Our client, based in West Norfolk, is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join a growing finance team. This role involves overseeing financial records, preparing reports, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting financial planning and analysis. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
You will be qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a strong knowledge of IFRS and financial regulations. You will be proficient in accounting software (e.g. Sage, QuickBooks or ERP systems like SAP). You will also have advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling and data analysis.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage general ledger accuracy and month-end/year-end closing processes.
- Reconcile financial accounts, including bank statements, receivables, and payables.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to provide insights for decision-making.
- Support with the preparation of consolidated financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, external audits, and financial regulations.
- Support tax filings and ensure timely VAT and corporate tax submissions.
- Monitor cash flow and working capital to ensure financial stability.
