Responsibilities
- Support a post‑doctoral clinical academic and develop skills and expertise to become an independent researcher in obstetrics and gynaecology.
- Publish research work in high‑quality journals and apply for research funding from grant‑making bodies to support future research.
- Supervise postgraduate and undergraduate student research.
- Work closely with the West Midlands Secure Data Environment and the Shrewsbury and Telford NHS Trust/ Dexter maternity data platform to conduct research into learning health systems aimed at improving maternity care.
- Collaborate with Prof. Parry‑Smith’s Keele team, the NIHR Midlands Patient Safety Research Collaboration and the NIHR Maternity Disparities Consortium, focusing on maternity disparity research and patient safety.
- Continue clinical work within the NHS in England in obstetrics and gynaecology, for up to five programmed activities.
