Hydrotherapy Pool Lifeguard (Casual)

£12.82 per hour

We are seeking a diligent and responsible individual to join our team as a Pool Lifeguard at Keech Hospice. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all pool users, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and adherence to safety procedures.

This role is on a casual basis - available shifts may be Monday to Friday with possible weekend work

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a safe and secure environment for all guests using our pool areas
  • Be vigilant in reporting any safeguarding concerns
  • Communicate effectively with pool users and colleagues
  • Perform water rescues and provide immediate first aid to casualties if required
  • Anticipate problems and take appropriate measure to prevent accidents and unsafe behaviour
  • Identify emergencies quickly and take appropriate action
  • Ensure all chemical & cleaning materials issued are stored safely & used within guidelines
  • Provide maintenance support within the plant room ensuring pool temperature and chemicals are monitored

What we’re looking for:

  • Current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)
  • First Aid/CPR certification
  • Strong swimming skills and proficiency in water rescue techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
