At Keech Hospice, we believe that the spaces we create can have a huge impact on the well-being of our patients. We are looking for a dedicated Housekeeper to join our compassionate team and help maintain a warm, calm and clean environment for our patients, their families, and our staff. Your role will be vital in ensuring that the hospice always reflects the high standards of care we provide.

This role offers 25 hours per week, 5 shifts per week over 7 days (including 1 weekend in 4). The hours of work are 7.15am to 12.30pm.

What You Will Do

  • Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation throughout all areas of the hospice
  • Communicating with patients, relatives, staff, and volunteers to provide a responsive service
  • Following infection control procedures and adhering to COSHH guidelines when using cleaning products
  • Replenish hand towels/laundry and other consumables
  • Assisting in the correct handling and disposal of clinical waste and rubbish
  • Transport items around the hospice
  • Complete daily, weekly and monthly housekeeping schedules and ensuring accurate record-keeping
