As a Keech Counsellor, your role will be essential in offering comfort, guidance, and support to patients and families navigating loss, grief, and end-of-life challenges. This Counselling role offers you the unique opportunity to influence and shape the way Keech services are delivered. Through your expertise, youll contribute to developing how we continuously evolve to meet the needs of our patients and their families. You will work autonomously managing your own caseload over a 7.5hour What Youll Do Offer one-on-one and group counselling for adults and children Supporting with the emotional effects of grief, providing direct support when needed Deliver compassionate pre and post bereavement care working closely with our palliative patients and their loved ones. Accessing everyone needs to ensure the right level and type of support is offered. Work with our wider Supportive Care team to address the full scope of psychological, social, and spiritual needs of our patients. Keep thorough and accurate notes and contribute to evaluations that help us continually improve our bereavement services What youll need Current membership of the BACP (or equivalent), with accreditation and recognised qualification in counselling or psychotherapy. Experience working in a similar setting, supporting individuals by understanding of palliative care and life-limiting illness. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively A strong understanding of family systems and how grief impacts families with the ability to work with patients and families, addressing their diverse needs.
