What You\'ll Do
- Provide patient-centered care and support for children and young people with complex needs.
- Deliver a high standard of specialist palliative care in partnership with families and other professionals.
- Work closely with other team members, always acting in the best interest of the child and families.
- Engage our younger patients in activities catered to meet their needs.
- Provide an empathetic and supportive presence for families.
- Manage and understand essential equipment for delivering patient care.
- Offer an empathetic ear to families, providing pre- and post-bereavement support and referring to appropriate services as needed.
- Ensure all administration is accurate and up to date to a high standard.
What You\'ll Need
- Previous work or personal experience in caring for children with complex health care needs.
- Health Care qualification NVQ Level 2/3 highly desirable.
- Great communication skills both written and verbal.
- Confident working unsupervised with the ability to prioritize shifting workloads.
- Good interpersonal skills with a strong understanding of safeguarding children.
- Motivated to develop a career in palliative care.
