This role plays a key part in driving sales of Fall Protection Solutions installations to both end users and construction contractors. Main duties include managing sales forecasts, carrying out strategic plans, and guiding and supporting the Estimating Team's development. Working primarily from the office, this position is focused on expanding the Safety Systems business by increasing direct-to-market sales of all safety solution products and fostering strong, long-term business relationships to encourage repeat business.
You are expected to collaborate with the General Manager, directly contributing to our strategic growth through new business and increased sales. The delivery of a sales target for installation sales includes:
- Sales performance tracking & analysis
- Sales promotion of all Universal Safety Systems solutions
We are looking for a future sales leader with a background in technical, installation, or construction-related industries. The ideal person has experience selling engineered solutions, leading small sales and estimating teams, overseeing key accounts, conducting site surveys, developing pricing strategies, and consistently meeting ambitious growth goals—all while working closely with operational and installation teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Execute sales strategies and plans effectively
- Manage key accounts and target market sectors, including organising customer visits and meetings
- Perform site surveys and prepare quotations as required to achieve sales objectives
- Compile and analyse weekly and monthly sales data to identify challenges and recommend corrective actions
- Inspire, mentor, and provide training to the estimating team
- Drive growth by pursuing new opportunities with GDM methodologies
- Provide support to the Contracts Manager and General Manager as needed
- Oversee procedures related to holidays, sickness, performance appraisals, disciplinary matters, departmental reporting, and conduct meetings as required
- Establish and manage pricing and discount strategies
- Prepare and present monthly sales forecasts for periods ranging from three to six months into the future
Previous involvement in construction, FM, or industrial sectors, ideally dealing with:
- Main contractors
- Subcontractors
- End users with industrial estates or manufacturing sites
Experience conducting site surveys and interpreting:
- Familiarity with installation-based sales where the offering includes product + labour
Strong commercial sense, understands customer service value, holds a full driving license and can travel.
