Kedrion Biopharma UK is looking for a Bioprocessing Scientist to join our Global Manufacturing Science Development (GMSD) team in Elstree. This is an excellent opportunity for a Life Sciences graduate with practical laboratory experience, or an early-career scientist looking to take their next step within the biopharmaceutical industry.
You will gain hands-on experience across a variety of scientific projects, developing your technical knowledge while working with biopharmaceutical products derived from human blood plasma. These products are used in treatments for immunodeficiencies, coagulation disorders and critical care.

What you will be doing
- Demonstrating competency across a broad range of bioprocessing techniques.
- Performing experimental work that progresses agreed MSD (R&D) projects.
- Reviewing and analysing experimental results and recommending next steps or optimisations.
- Communicating information clearly and logically through technical reports and presentations to the wider MSD team.
- Supporting the maintenance of laboratory resources, including the calibration and maintenance of key equipment and the management of stocks of key reagents and solutions.
What will help you succeed
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- A proactive and organised approach, with the ability to deliver work to deadlines.
- The technical potential and willingness to develop within the role.
- Knowledge of protein purification and an understanding of proteins.
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements in a laboratory environment.
Education and practical experience
- A relevant degree, such as Bioengineering, Biochemistry, Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Biotechnology or Biological Sciences
- Evidence of practical laboratory training gained during your degree and/or through scientific projects.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office packages.
