We are looking for a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist (SALT) to support children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Special Educational Needs (SEN). You will play a vital role in delivering tailored interventions to help children develop their communication and language skills, enabling them to thrive in their learning environment.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Being a skilled member of the SaLT clinical team, providing a high quality, evidence based and child centred therapy service.
  • Holding a clinical case load and practice clinically, setting priorities and working autonomously.
  • Supporting therapy planning and service development within an allocated area of special responsibility, in line with current research and nationally identified policy.
  • Ensuring that all practice is in accordance with the Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct of the RCSLT and HCPC.
  • Working with families, carers, educators and appropriate external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to therapeutic support.
  • Providing training and consultancy to families, staff and, where appropriate, to staff in other Kedleston Group services.

Clinical supervision will be provided by internal Senior Speech and Language Therapists or funded externally.

What we’re looking for:

  • Degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).
  • UK HCPC Registration, and eligibility for membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
  • Successful post registration practice and experience with young people (ideally experience of working with children with ASC needs).
