Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated educator looking to make a real impact on young minds? We are seeking a motivated and inspiring HLTA to join our dynamic team and help shape the future of our students. This role works 3 days per week (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays).
Responsibilities
- Support class groups with their therapeutic and intervention needs.
- Monitor and track pupil progress in social skills.
- Deliver lessons or interventions under the instruction of the therapy/pastoral team.
- Support pupil welfare and wellbeing.
- Adhere to the school's systems, structures, policies and procedures.
- Actively support school activities where required, including educational trips, extra-curricular activities and parents' evenings, which may require some out-of-hours availability.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents and carers and colleagues.
Qualifications
- GCSE or equivalent qualifications, including English and Maths.
- Evidence of CPD or an interest in learning.
- Effective communication with parents and carers.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Good personal organisation.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Desirable
- Awareness of the needs of a range of neurodiverse students.
- Knowledge of the effects of ACEs and trauma on children.
- Disability Confident experience (if applicable).
